Wanting Ideas

My sister in law is expecting her first baby, a son. I am so excited for her and my brother and I have offered to throw her a baby shower. I am thrilled and know that this is going to be lots of fun, for her and for me. :o) I have lots of ideas of things I want to do, to serve, to decorate and so on at this shower. But, I believe that you can NEVER have too many ideas. So this is where you come in. Would you please let me know of some amazing ideas that you have seen at some great showers or have done yourself that were an immediate hit. I would love to hear them. Please feel free to leave more than one idea. :O) Thanks!!!

A donut morning

Good morning everyone!!!

We ate donuts for breakfast this morning. Caitlyn LOVES it when we have homemade donuts. Not only does she just love the donuts, but she loves to help make them. They really are simple and a treasured "recipe" that I picked up from my mother in law.

Purchase at the store some "whomp-em" biscuits. (Pre-made dough biscuits that you have to "whomp" on the counter to pop open.) :) Hand flatten and stretch them out a bit to make a good size donut, this is the part Caitlyn loves to help with.

Now usually we just stretch them out and create a hole in the middle of them, they wont turn out pretty, but still will taste great. Well Caitlyn and I found us some small cookie cutters and decided to create donut holes too. We like the way these turn out better.
Then drop them in the fryer, they really do cook pretty fast so keep an eye on them. When they are as cooked as you prefer them to be, take them out and drain on a paper towel. We love to accessorize our donuts with powder sugar or cupcake icing or cinnamon/sugar and/or sprinkles. Ymmmmmm. Below is a picture of our finished donuts, only one has some icing on it. Cute huh??????

Purple

Hey guys,

Well Vegas was fun and MUCH needed for the Hubby and I. We had a blast.

Sunday was a fun day for Caitlyn and I to have some girl time. We went to WoodsEdge after church for their church Fun Day. As everyone knows... you cant go to a festival without getting a snow cone, a purple one too. Yummmmmm

Gravity... it's cool.

This is a picture of the itty bitty space between Micah's crib and wall. I think Micah loves to drop anything he can into that tiny space. Took me a while to figure out how to get the toys out considering his crib does not have wheels. I have found a long pole/rod to drag along the floor to get the dropped items. Oh mercy, this drives me nuts when he does this to me. The worst is when it is the middle of the night and ALL the binkys are in this tiny space and he decides he needs one. Oh goodness... but I do love that boy... and soon I'll have two. Im 21 weeks along, or am I 22? (Poor third baby, I have lost count)

Buffet of Pictures

WEll, we have been busy the past few weeks. That, and Daniel had his computer with him for a WHOLE week. So because those are my excuses... here is what we have been up to the past few months. They are in recent to oldest order.

On spring break we went to quite a few places. To end the week we went to Galveston to stay at Daniels parents bay house. Caitlyn and Micah are getting older and are really liking the beach and of course wanting to go any chance they can. It was a chilly day at the beach on Friday. I couldnt believe that people were actually getting into the ocean, the water was freezing. Caitlyn did have a suit on under her clothes and just had to try the water. She loved it at first but then complained that she was too cold and wanted to go home. But until then, Caitlyn and Micah played in the sand and loved it and actually came back home with some cute rosy cheeks.

This picture is actually out of order, but thats ok. (Still trying to figure out my blog and this computer after two years. On a previous computer I was able to move the pictures around, but I am having trouble with Daniels Mac) This pic is of Micah trying sushi for the first time and as much as he tried to like it... he just didnt. Thats ok. We still love him.
Thursday we went to the zoo. CRAZY day at the zoo. EVERYONE was there. Fun day with our friends, The Munsons.
Wednesday we went to Wolf Creek Park where Daniels sister's family was camping. We spent the day with them there and actually had a really good time. That's saying a lot coming out of my mouth... I am quite the city girl and my idea of camping includes a hotel.

Monday while waiting for daddy to get home from his long trip away... we went to NorthShore Park and enjoyed that day with some friends of ours.
(this is a pic, of course and not a video... but this was the day that Micah officially learned how to walk.)
The friday before, Micah learned that he LOVED the swing.
Wednesday (a week and a half ago) Caitlyn had Go texan day at school and here she is in her cowgirl outfit.

I have come to realize that as wonderful as technology is and how easy it is to upload pictures from your camera to the computer. It is way easier to use my iPhone.

Ok... there Im all caught up. Now I can relax. Hope you guys had as much fun as we did for Spring Break.

Ok... I had two people request that I take a picture of the WHOLE nook so you see what I have to work with. Ok, I did... but didn't like doing it. Now you see that my nook doesnt look as cute as it can be. BUT, that is the whole reason for the post. I also cut and pasted the little blurp of writing I did on the previous post so that you dont have to scroll down to see what this whole thing is all about. :O)

I have this nook in my kitchen that I would like to have as a holiday nook. Well, instead of just doing Easter or St. Pattys Day, I decided to go with a Spring idea. This is what I have so far... but it just looks unfinished to me. Any ideas????

Precious Baby #3 is a BOY

I was wrong... I sooooooo thought that this one was a girl. This pregnancy has mimicked my pregnancy with Caitlyn. Nothing similar with Micah's. I guess I am living proof that each pregnancy is different and that nothing is ever the same twice. The chinese calendar was wrong with this one too. I am shocked. Daniel somehow knew that it was a boy... and yes, I admit it... he is right.

I actually said many times that I would be happy either way with what God gave us. I am. It was just a weird feeling hearing them say boy and feeling my heart drop just a teeny tiny bit. I didnt realize how much I was looking forward to doing that "girl thang" again with the bows and dresses. But then again, I think about my Micah and how he has me wrapped around his cute little finger and also think about how much fun he is. He is a blast and wow is all I can say when I think of two little "blasts" running around my home. Good thing we have a backyard. :o) Its gonna be fun here at the Pratt house.

So, we are now thinking names... feel free to share some good ones... we dont have a name set in stone.

What Are You Precious Baby #3?

Well this week is the week to get your guess on. We have an appointment on Friday to guess what our precious little baby is. (That is if the baby isn't shy and hides.) So... in the upper right hand corner of the blog page is where you can place your vote. I have a feeling of what it is... but I wont say till Friday when I announce what this baby is. Go ahead and guess... I am eager to hear what you think it could be.

Picture Buffet

This first trimester has been hard and not fun at all. So that is what I am blaming my procrastination on my blogging on. To kinda catch up on things, I have a few pictures below that have been worthy of me getting my cell phone out and taking their pictures.

A couple of weeks ago we went to a friends wedding. It was a beautiful and FUN wedding and great memories we will have from that wedding. Anyways, Caitlyn LOVES to go to weddings now and really looks forward to see the bride. Watching the bride enter the chapel is the highlight of her day. She always says what she loves about the wedding and how hers is gonna be one day. She has been this way ever since she has been a flowergirl, twice, I might add. Well, her cousin Sarah just was a flowergirl the weekend before and got the "bug" of admiring the bride as well. With that said, I thought that the below pic was one that I just could not pass up. Two girls admiring the bride and daydreaming of their day, one day.

I guess even princess teddy bears get in trouble now and then and need some time out.
I entered Micah into the BABY search contest for the Regis and Kelly show. Even though we all KNOW he should win, I know that there are millions of cuties out there and he may just be over looked. Anyways... they should announce the winner in March... so if he is a finalist... you gotta vote for him. :o)

This CD release is gonna be great. I am so proud of my husband and his accomplishments. This CD baby of ours that we have been working on for so long is finally finished and will be ready Feb 26. But even more so... I am so proud to see God really working through Daniel and to see Daniel grow deeper and deeper in love with God and his relationship with him.
