A friend of mine had this great idea for Easter. Making Empty Tomb Rolls. It was so much fun to make with Caitlyn and yummy too! It was a great way to try to help drive home the point of what Easter is all about. What you do is explain that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Then after he died, he needed to be buried... which is where these rolls come in. :) A large marshmellow symbolizes Jesus. Then you roll him in oils... "butter" and spices... "cinnamon and sugar" to preserve his body for burial. Then you wrap him up tight, no marshmellow peeking, in clothes... crescent rolls. Then you bake in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes... "3 days." When you take the rolls out of the oven, let them cool. But when you open them up... they are hollow inside. The marshmellow, Jesus is not there anymore. :)
I LOVE this pic of Micah. He looks so "little man like". :)
