Caitlyn's Need to Accessorize

Caitlyn is so funny. I love the little surprises that are "around the corner" with her. I went into Caitlyn's room to get the sheets off of her bed to do laundry. All of a sudden I see some earring backs on her sheets and I wondered where they came from. Now I know...
Isnt her bear so pretty???
The other day I was checking out some of my emails and sitting next to Caitlyn and Micah playing so nicely together. I wasn't fully paying attention to what they were up to. This is what I saw when I asked, "what are you guys doing????" Isnt that a nice bow????

The process is starting

Ok... this is a new thing... I am actually blogging with words and not pictures. :o)

Ok, here goes. We are finally starting the process of finding our very own home. We are so excited. Nervous, but excited. This has been something we have wanted to do for a very long time, but never have been in the situation or have the opportunity to be able to do so. We have officially made the phone call to a good friend of ours who will be working with us to start the financial side of getting a home. Once this side of it is done, then we will know what the bank says our loan can be. Then off to dream and search for the new Pratt home. We are so excited to get to have a home. A home to continue our traditions. A home that has Caitlyn and Micah's room made just for them. And home that we can call our own. We love to entertain and have people over and spend time with our friends and family. Also, we lead a college/singles community group and I am sure they are looking forward to the ritual of coming to our house every sunday night again instead of wondering where we will meet each week.
We have had, and continue to have the opportunity to spend time and live with Daniel's parents who have been wonderful to us throughout this time of "prepping" for a new home. We will be forever grateful to them for their help. Also for the support and help from BOTH of our parents we will forever be grateful. I know they read this blog so I would like to publicly say thank you. :o)
What I would like to ask of you is for your prayers. Please pray for God's guidance in this home hunt. That we are wise with picking this house, where we plan to live for a long time. Have I mentioned that we have moved 7 times in the 6 1/2 years that Daniel and I have been married? Goodness, that is another story. :o) Also that when He shows us the home He has picked for us, that we hear Him clearly and stay in His will.
Thank you friends and family for your support and love to us. We love you all.

WPCC is Moving

Woodlands Point Community Church has been our church home for the past year and then some. We absolutely LOVE it. We have met some wonderful families and friends and have grown together with them closer to Jesus. Good times.. together worshipping, learning and working in community with one another. For the past year we have met at Mitchell Intermediate School and it has been a great home to us and we will forever be grateful.

Well, we just heard that we are getting the opportunity to move to The Woodlands High School on August 30th. YEA!!!! What an great chance to use this opportunity to glorify Jesus!

Pictures from the 4th of July

Here are some of my pictures that Daniel and I took from the fourth of July weekend.

LOVE this one of Micah:

It was SOOOOOO hot watching the parade go by. But we LOVED it and look forward to next years parade and continuing our tradition.

Gotta have those refreshments for hot days. Nonni made Sarah and Caitlyn some fruit smoothies. YUM
Waiting for the parade to start... in the shade.

French Braiding

I have never french braided before. I tried to learn when I was a little girl on my barbie dolls heads. That was hard though... the heads kept popping off when I would hold the hair too tight. So with that said, I never really learned. This past fourth of july we spent that holiday with family. Auntie was french braiding her daughters hair and Caitlyn REALLY wanted hers done too. So Auntie french braided Caitlyns hair and did a wonderful job. You can see how well it was done in the post before. Well since then, Caitlyn has asked me to french braid her hair again. I warned her that I was not as good as Auntie... but that I would give it my best shot. Below is the pic of my first french braiding job.
I told Caitlyn that it was not very good, but that I did my best. She responded with, "It's pretty!" My sweet precious angel. I told her that "she made it pretty."
