Tanning, Silly & Precious

So here are a few pictures of this past week since all four of us have been at home.  When Caitlyn was born she was released from the hospital with a low risk for jaundice.  After a couple of days, the jaundice showed up.  Nothing serious, but enough that the hospital had us come back for 4 days to check on her levels.  It was high enough to check but not high enough to treat at the hospital.  They would just tell us to get her some sun and it should go away.  Well, this time around the hospital told us the same, that Micah has a low risk for jaundice.  After a couple of days we started to see a little yellow...but not like Caitlyns and not enought to take him in.  So we decided to go ahead and get him some sun since we knew that is what they would tell us to do.  So here is a pic of my boys "tanning"on that one warm day we had.  :0)
My silly girl!
This picture sums this week up for Caitlyn.  She has been thrilled to have Micah here.  She LOVES her brother and reminds me often that she is glad to have him here.  I pray that she will always feel this way.  :0)
My boys.  This is a sweet picture.
Caitlyn enjoying the wind...well actually she was just trying to get the hair out of her face.

A favorite picture of mine

More Pictures

This baby swing was actually given to Caitlyn when we were expecting her.  She did not care for it at all.  We used it maybe 2-3 times.  I felt so bad to have a beautiful brand new swing that we did not use.  Well, now I dont have to feel bad anymore.  Micah LOVES it.  He slept in it for 2 hours yesterday in the middle of our living room with all the hubbub of noise around.

Caitlyn got for Christmas a Water Baby.  If you have never seen a water baby before...they are neat.  They are filled with water to make them feel real.  We decided to get the baby out and compare Baby Ruby to Micah.  You can see the size difference...but what amazed us...Baby Ruby was heavier than Micah.

This picture was taken about 30 minutes to an hour after we got home on Wednesday.  It took Caitlyn a short while to be alright with Micah being home.  I think it was because she had just gotten up from a nap and needed a small snack...cause after all that happened...she was thrilled that he was here.  She constantly told us over and over how excited and glad she was that Micah was here.

My Two Beautiful Children

Micah is Here!!!

Ok, the long anticipated day was here yesterday.  Micah arrived at 5:23 pm.  We started pushing at 5:00...so he came out quick and easy.  The time leading up to the "arrival" was not fun.  My blood pressure was WAY low, so I was very lethargic all day.  No partying with this expected delivery like we did when we were waiting for Caitlyn to arrive.  (Thank you to our family who was here supporting us yesterday.  And momma for you to just sit calmly in my room while I rested was very peaceful and calming for me, thank you.)  I rested and slept as best I could.  Finally when the time came for Micah to arrive, we had about 4 pushing sessions and  here he was.  He was 7 lbs and 2 oz.  at 20 1/2 inches.  One pound lighter than Caitlyn and 1/2 inch shorter.  My doctor, Dr. Jon Rawson was amazing.  I will recommend him to EVERYONE.  We were so BLESSED to have him deliver.  It could not have gone any better.  One precious thing my doctor did at the very end was get everyone in the room to join him in singing Happy Birthday.  Very sweet moment.

Caitlyn was not too sure of Micah yesterday.  Caitlyn was the very first in the room to welcome Micah.  I think she was concerned that he was alright.  He was crying and of course had the usual medicine on his face...didn't look too normal as far as she was concerned.  But she warmed up to him and in the end was finally ok with giving him a kiss goodbye before she went home.  She had LOTS of questions for daddy when he went home last night to get some overnight things before returning to be with me.  Daniel was wonderful.  I dont know how else to put that into words.  He was amazing and very helpful.  I know people expect the husband to of course be helpful.  BUT, he was more than that.  He surpassed my every expectation and then some.  I am blessed that I was the woman to snag him.
I also want to give "kudos" to my sister in law, Lindsay.  Thank you SO much for taking care of our home and my "angel baby" Caitlyn.  You have helped us out more than you know.  Thank you and we love you.
We do have some pictures from yesterday, but they are the usual first day pictures.  So we will take some more today, where he looks more pink and cuddly and I will post those soon.
Thank you to everyone who kept us in your prayers...I can tell that they were definitely heard.  We love all you guys and cherish everyone of our friendships with you.  We are blessed and are truly thankful.

Woodlands Point Community Church Staff Christmas Party

(FYI...I thought a post went through, but apparently it was only saved as a draft.  So realizing that...I quickly posted it.  I think you will enjoy it.  Scroll down and watch the Merry Christmas video)

This year has been a wonderful year.  God has continued to surprise and bless us with things that I could not even begin to imagine to happen.  This year our church started and opened it's doors, Woodlands Point Community Church.  We LOVE and are blessed to have this church and the friendships that have begun because of it.  We love you guys and cherish our friendships that we have made.
(This picture is of our very FIRST staff Christmas dinner party.  We look forward to this coming year and what amazing changes and opportunities that are heading our way.)

Tribute to Caitlyn's First 3 1/2 Years

Daniel did an amazing thing for me...he made a beautiful slide show/video of Caitlyn's first 3 1/2 years.  There are so many people who love Caitlyn and we wish could be part of this video...but due to my lack of picture taking at times...we have missed those opportunities.  I'm Sorry.

This is our tribute to Caitlyn before our son, Micah joins us.  Enjoy and grab yourself a box of tissues, we have already used all of ours.  :)

What blows me away is that it feels like 3 1/2 years has flown by...but when you look at all these pictures...so much happened within these years.  We had a blast Caitlyn baby and we look forward to MANY more years with you.
We love you!
