Happy Halloween 2009

Happy Halloween 2009

Caitlyn had a "Fall Day" at school on Wednesday. She had a great day and came home with a cute little bumble bee painted on her cute little cheek.
What a poser!!!!
Here is Snow White! This was her costume during the day on Halloween.
Caitlyn chose to dress up as a Bride this year. I guess there was no escaping that decision when I am a wedding coordinator and talk of brides happens a lot in our home. But I have to say... Caitlyn is the prettiest "bride" that I have ever seen. (Oh Lord, she is growing up way too fast!!!) She is wearing her flowergirl dress and I made her veil and bouquet. She LOVED her costume. She never wanted to take it off.
She did this pose... I promise. I just was lucky to see it and catch it on camera. (Again, she is growing up WAY too fast!!!)

SUPERMAN!!!!!!!!! Cutie Patootie!!! Awwww, he is my sweet little man.

Here are my two "Super" men!!! (I know, cheesy line... but they really are super to me)
Me and my beautiful bride.
Hope you had a great day full of wonderful memories.

Another Project

I am off onto another project. Oriental "Artwork." We wanted our dining room, that is still not completed, to be an oriental themed room. I was looking hi and lo for something to go on the wall, yet was simple. A wonderful friend of mine gave the idea of covering canvas with the fabric of my choice. Loved that idea and really am happy with the way it turned out.

Here is the fabric that I chose.
Just wrap the fabric around the canvas and staple on the back side.
Another pic of me stapling
Finished product.

Decorating My Kitchen Nook

I decided that I couldnt look at my bare kitchen nook any longer, so here is what I did to make it a prattified.
I went to Hobby Lobby, my most absolute favorite store and bought some plain white candles.
I found some really pretty fall colored ribbon, half price I might add.
I wrapped the ribbon around my plain white candle and secured it in the back with a push pin.
And voila! I added my cute candles to these pretty candelabras, given to us by a sweet friend. Thanks Val. :o)
My nook needed more ribbon somewhere... so I added it to my simple pumpkin.
And here is what the nook looks like. All holiday-ed up. :)
I decided that this will be my holiday nook and each holiday will be displayed in some way.

LOVE this house, thank you Lord for such a blessing.

Silly Girl

Caitlyn playing dress up in her room the other day... came out looking like this. A beautiful bride... in pink. What makes this kinda funny... her veil is a pink skirt that she stuck under her headband.

BEFORE & AFTER Living Room

Ok... I posted new pics. There are 3, yes 3 NEW posts. This one, BEFORE & AFTER Caitlyn's Room and BEFORE & AFTER Kitchen. Remember that there is of course some more decorating to be done even though they are nearly finished. But you get the gist.

Here are some Their, Before & After pictures. Meaning pictures of the way they had the house (Their), Then the before, and of course the afters.

This picture is of their living room. The curtains we decided to keep. Originally they were going to take them with them, but they decided that the curtains didn't work with any of their new windows at their new house. So we left them up during the "painting week" and they turned out to look great with our decor. :o) They work well in the living room and compliments the brown in the kitchen. YAY.

I've noticed that you cant really tell a difference in the paint color... but BELIEVE me... it is different.

BEFORE & AFTER Caitlyn's Room

Here are some Their, Before & After pictures. Meaning pictures of the way they had the house (Their), Then the before, and of course the afters.
This picture is of their little girls room, about to be Caitlyn's room. I love how they already had it painted lavender. We kept it the same color, and luckily they had leftover paint so we just did a fresh coat on top so that it look fresh and clean. (Emphasis on the clean.) ;O)

Her room turned out cute. Of course I still have a few things to go up on her wall to "cutify" things a bit.

BEFORE & AFTER Kitchen

Here are some Their, Before & After pictures. Meaning pictures of the way they had the house (Their), Then the before, and of course the afters.
This picture is of their kitchen... that is my friend Rhonda, she was our realtor and helped us find and get this house.

Before Pics

I almost forgot to take some before pictures of the house. But no worries, I did remember. Here they are:

The kitchen... what in the world were they thinking with that color that they picked????
Another view of the kitchen. Can you see that brown wall? That is the color we are painting the entire kitchen. A nice chocolate brown. The kitchen is already painted now and boy it looks GOOOOOOOD!!! The brown walls make the cabinets look awesome.
This is our formal dining room. We are gonna paint this room a light sage color. It will go perfectly with Daniel's oriental themed dining room.
A view of the living room. I wasnt too sure about the curtains, but I think with the kitchen a warm brown, I think they will look great! See that little handsome man in the living room???
One of the walls in the master bedroom. This will be our accent wall.
So there are a few before pics. Cant want for you to see how it looks when we are finally done. Well... I cant wait til we are finally done. :o)

Happy Anniversary Baby

Today is Daniel and my 7 year anniversary. Wow. It feel like only yesterday that we said "I do." Yet it also feels like forever ago. I married my best friend and I love him more and more every day. Happy Anniversary Baby! I love you!

Ok, we did it!!!! We closed on our house and now it is ours. :o) So yes, I can start posting pictures. I am going to go over and take pictures of the inside with out all their things in it and then you will eventually see the before and after pictures.

God is so good. (Isnt that a cute little circle window?)
