Site Seeing on the Way Home

On our way home from Colorado, I saw a few things that I just HAD to take a picture of. Some pictures I was fast enough to get and some I missed. Here are a few of the sites that we saw on the way home.

First picture... and Daniel saw this one. Yes... it is a live bait vending machine. This vending machine was my inspiration to take pictures of things I saw on my way home. Daniel saw this vending machine at the very beginning of our trip while we were gassing up the cars and about to start our LOOOOONNNNNGGGGG trip home. All I can say is WOW for this one.

We were in New Mexico and pulled into the gas station. I was just looking around and admiring the view and this is what I saw when I looked to my right. Imagine the shock that kinda gets you when you see something really fast. It really looked like the dog was driving cause... you cant see it here... but there is a lady in the passenger seat.

Awww, home!
We saw this beautiful rainbow outside The Texas Roadhouse in Amarillo, Tx. I was so glad that the rainbow showed up on my camera.
I have NEVER been to a Buc-ee's before... so we all just had to stop and check it out. The one just north of Huntsville.

Colorado Part 3

Ok, I have been procrastinating on updating my blog. Sorry about that. The thing is, I still have some pictures from Colorado on my camera that I need to download onto this computer so that I can blog about them. But until that day comes... here are a couple that I got off of my sister in laws facebook page. Sorry that they came out small.

Pratt fam at the top of a mountain.
Oh, I wish these pictures were so much bigger. You cant really see Caitlyn's "beautiful" make up job that she did on herself. Just imaging one eyelid is purple and it makes a "unibrow" over to the other side and connects with a blue eyelid. Auntie Linds was taking care of Caitlyn at this time. I guess that is what makes a fun Aunt.
Sarah has some of the same "designer look" going on here too.

Me and my sister-n-law, Linds. She's great!

Colorado Part 1

On August 2, 2009 we... Daniel, Caitlyn, Micah, My mother in law, my father in law, my sister in law, my brother in law and my niece and I all got in the car and traveled about 16 hours to Loveland, Colorado where Daniel's Relatives live... some of them. Here is Caitlyn keeping busy. (BTW, you will notice that Caitlyn is in most pictures... so that Daniel and I dont have to "pose." It's good to have kids.
On the way there we stopped for a picnic... it was hot, I believe we were still in Texas. Caitlyn wanted to eat her food under the tree in the shade.
Pic of Caitlyn at Estes Park... near Loveland, Colorado.
Caitlyn with Sarah and David. David lives in Loveland.
We decided to travel to the top of a mountain. Here is someone we met.

Halfway up:

Just about to the top. :) We stopped here and hiked the rest of the way.
Yes, Caitlyn hiked it too. Dont let these pictures fool you. It was steep.

Colorado Part 2

Here is the continuation of our vacation:

Still at the top of the mountain.
Micah got to meet his cousin for the first time, Quincy. In this picture he looks like he was thinking, "great, another girl cousin." Haha But, they really did like talking to each other.
We got to stay at this BEAUTIFUL house. This is the downstairs, basement kinda. Equipped with a pool table, leather sofas and another tv.
This is the view of the house from the back yard. I forgot to take a pic of the house from the front yard. Oh Well.
Daniel got to fly fish, and he LOVED it.

This river was so beautiful. I had to get a picture of two beautiful things that God created... the river and Caitlyn, of course. :o)
We celebrated David's (another cousin) 3rd birthday while we were all together at this house. So fun, Caitlyn had a blast.

Caitlyn's pinata goodies!!!

We decided to travel 5 minutes down the road to Beaver Creek. We found a Children's Museum for Caitlyn to play at for a while. Might I also add that it was free. A lot of things were free in Beaver Creek on the day we went, Friday. I guess that the ski towns have to do lots of free things to get the people in. We had a blast.
Micah, playing at the museum.
Beautiful scenery in Beaver Creek.

Free Pony Rides
Free Gondola Rides

Checked out some more horses at the top of the gondola mountain ride.

Flowers at the top too.

Free Snow Cones, yummm
Caitlyn fishing and dangling her feet in the lake with her daddy back at the house in Loveland, Colorado where Daniel's aunt Nancy lives.
While I was in Colorado, I got to hang out with one of my best buddies, Rochan. We were roommates back in the days. GREAT times, I love this girl.

Micah's 7 Months Old

I know I am a couple of days behind, but that is ok. :o)

Micah turned 7 months old on Wednesday. I cant believe how time has flown by. Wow. I was so scared to have a boy, I didnt know what to expect. But now I love my sweet little boy. What a sweet heart and I love getting to know him more and more every day. Let's see... what is he up to these days???
1. He can roll quite well. Doesnt continuously roll like his sister liked to do at his age. He just likes to roll to his tummy for a while, play. Then rolls to his back for a while to play.
2. Smiles ALL the time at you.
3. At his 6 month check up he was 17.3 pounds
4. Does this cute thing with his hand and we say, "what's upppppp?" when he does it.
5. Still nurses at night. Still working on sleeping through the night. Argggg. But you know, I do charish those times that it is just us.
6. Eats solids well... and loves it.
7. He, of course knows who I am... but just recently he REALLY acknowledges me when I walk into the room. Or gets excited when I walk by. Leans really forward from someone else's arms towards me so that I will hold him. Of course all this with a big grin on his face.
8. I think to him... I am "MMMMMMMM" Doesnt say momma yet... but "MMMMM" is good enough for me.
9. Sits on his own pretty well, but I do still place pillows around him, mainly for my sanity.

He is such a sweetie pie, my "Mister Micah." Can you tell that I am so smitten with him.
