Happy Birthday Mommo

Thursday was my mom's birthday.  What better a way to celebrate her birthday than fun at the park and McDonalds.  We had a blast with you Mommo!  Happy Birthday!! 

The Lollipop Church

We love our church, Woodlands Point Community Church.  We are creeping up on our one year anniversary in June.  Wow, time flies by.  Caitlyn especially loves the church and loves her class too.  She calls our church the lollipop church because the very first week we met, her teacher, Ms. Sharla gave her a lollipop and ever since then the name has stuck.  Thank you Ms. Sharla for the memories!!!

Me and My Kids

Felicia, a friend of mine is GREAT at documenting and remembering things... something I wish I was better at.  Well, she came over Monday to hang out for a bit and let our children play.She took these pictures and sent them to me.  What a nice walk down memory lane.  The funny thing about us and our children is, her daughter Gabriella, is 3 months older than Caitlyn and her other daughter is about 2 months older than Micah.  The first picture is of us with our girls.  Gigi is 3 months and Caitlyn is 11 days.  (see how much Caitlyn and Micah look alike at this young age.)  The second pic is of all of us, the girls and then the new ones, Marissa at 3 months and Micah 6 weeks.

This is the very first time Caitlyn has fed Micah, January 16, 2009.  Can you tell how proud she is of her brother and also that she got to take care of him and feed him.  She did a great job.  

Sip & See

I had a wonderful friend of mine and my mothers, Lynn offer to throw a Sip & See for Micah and I, a baby shower for when after the baby arrives so that everyone can get together and see the baby.  I think this is an amazing idea.  Thank you Lynn.  It was a wonderful shower and I enjoyed getting to see all these ladies that I haven't seen in a while.  I used to see these ladies pretty often, Daniel and I used to attend Family Life Christian Center, where they attend and also this was the church that I worked at for 3 years til this past September.  Here are a couple of pictures, taken by another wonderful friend of mine, Tawana... A friends wedding this past weekend

Caitlyn got to be a flower girl in another wedding this past weekend. She LOVES the job. :) She was such a big girl this weekend. I had somethings to do with Micah and so I could either bring her along with me or have her stay with the big girls... the bridesmaids. Caitlyn chose to be with the big girls. *sniff* she didnt need me to stay with her.

This was a catholic wedding... so there was a part where the wedding party, including Caitlyn, sits down and listens to the priest talk for a while. I was so nervous how Caitlyn would do during this 15 - 20 time frame. So what I did was pack her a "goody bag" filled with quiet baby doll things to entertain her. I left it in the pew that she would be sitting in and she knew that she could play quietly with it when she sat down and then leave it in the pew when she had to get up to stand at the front. I was hoping and praying that this would work and that we didnt have a bored little girl on our hands who also insisted on bringing her goody bag with her to the front of the church. Also... all the preparation, pictures and wedding happened during Caitlyn's usual nap time... so again... I was nervous how the day would go. Well, she did GREAT, Mission Accomplished. Everything went as planned. A friend of ours said she was watching her during that part of the service and enjoyed watching Caitlyn feed her baby doll which Caitlyn named, Baby with the Long Hair. Also changing her diaper and powdering her doll. Way too cute. Here are a few of pictures from the Reception.

Its Been 1 Month Already

As of February 5, it has been a month since Micah has joined us.  I can't believe it.  Wow.  It has been fun.  Caitlyn has been an excellent big sister.  Such a great helper.  Sleep, what is that???  Actually it is not all that bad.  We knew that lack of sleep was part of the job when we decided for another baby.  Our goal now is to try to get him to sleep through the night.  Hopefully soon...it CAN be done.  :)
