Wanting Ideas

My sister in law is expecting her first baby, a son. I am so excited for her and my brother and I have offered to throw her a baby shower. I am thrilled and know that this is going to be lots of fun, for her and for me. :o) I have lots of ideas of things I want to do, to serve, to decorate and so on at this shower. But, I believe that you can NEVER have too many ideas. So this is where you come in. Would you please let me know of some amazing ideas that you have seen at some great showers or have done yourself that were an immediate hit. I would love to hear them. Please feel free to leave more than one idea. :O) Thanks!!!

A donut morning

Good morning everyone!!!

We ate donuts for breakfast this morning. Caitlyn LOVES it when we have homemade donuts. Not only does she just love the donuts, but she loves to help make them. They really are simple and a treasured "recipe" that I picked up from my mother in law.

Purchase at the store some "whomp-em" biscuits. (Pre-made dough biscuits that you have to "whomp" on the counter to pop open.) :) Hand flatten and stretch them out a bit to make a good size donut, this is the part Caitlyn loves to help with.

Now usually we just stretch them out and create a hole in the middle of them, they wont turn out pretty, but still will taste great. Well Caitlyn and I found us some small cookie cutters and decided to create donut holes too. We like the way these turn out better.
Then drop them in the fryer, they really do cook pretty fast so keep an eye on them. When they are as cooked as you prefer them to be, take them out and drain on a paper towel. We love to accessorize our donuts with powder sugar or cupcake icing or cinnamon/sugar and/or sprinkles. Ymmmmmm. Below is a picture of our finished donuts, only one has some icing on it. Cute huh??????

Hey guys,

Well Vegas was fun and MUCH needed for the Hubby and I. We had a blast.

Sunday was a fun day for Caitlyn and I to have some girl time. We went to WoodsEdge after church for their church Fun Day. As everyone knows... you cant go to a festival without getting a snow cone, a purple one too. Yummmmmm

Gravity... it's cool.

This is a picture of the itty bitty space between Micah's crib and wall. I think Micah loves to drop anything he can into that tiny space. Took me a while to figure out how to get the toys out considering his crib does not have wheels. I have found a long pole/rod to drag along the floor to get the dropped items. Oh mercy, this drives me nuts when he does this to me. The worst is when it is the middle of the night and ALL the binkys are in this tiny space and he decides he needs one. Oh goodness... but I do love that boy... and soon I'll have two. Im 21 weeks along, or am I 22? (Poor third baby, I have lost count)
