Its that time of year!!!

I love this time of year... Especially these past few days with the weather being more like Christmas...at least here in Texas!

Just wanted to wish you all a Merry CHRISTmas...and check and see if my blog still works. :0). (It has been quite a while since I have posted, sorry). One day I will finally get better at it.

My Pinterest Summer Wreath

Im not sure about the rest of you, but I LOVE Pinterest.  Whoever came up with that idea to somehow bring a bazillion crafts (amongst other things) together in one site was a genius!!!!  I love checking out the humor site and of course the craft site.  

Back in January, the time of year when we all decide that some of our Christmas decorations weren't all they were cracked up to be... I went to my sister in laws house and noticed she was throwing out this "beauty." It was a perfectly fine wreath, but she wanted to have something different for next Christmas and saw no reason to hold on to this one all year.  I grabbed it and asked her if I could have it.  With an "are you crazy" look in her eye because I went through her garbage, she said sure.  I told her I had a plan and no worries.      

Well, it took me a few months... 8 months in fact, to come up with an idea... 

 (Drumroll please)  Ta-daaaa!!  (Thank you Pinterest for the inspiration.)

    

I have no summer decorations around my house and for some reason every year I hit a dry spell in the creativity department during this time.  Finally my house has some color... at least for now until I unload the multiple boxes I have full of FALL colors for my actual FAVORITE time of the year!!!!

So what have we been so busy doing this summer???  Sometimes it felt like nothing and sometimes it felt like we were going crazy... or maybe it was me going crazy.

First Day of 2nd Grade for my 1st Angel Baby

Monday, August 27th was Caitlyn's first day of 2nd Grade and she was very excited to finally get back into the routine of school.  I think I can safely say I was excited for her to get back into that routine too.  The girl loves summer, but like me, loves the school year more.  To us school lovers, other than homework...school means friends, activities, feeling productive, getting dressed up and learning new things.

Caitlyn's Hello Kitty Birthday Party

My beautiful daughter, who is growing up so quickly before my eyes, absolutely loves Hello Kitty.  Thank God for that cute kitten.  I used to love Hello Kitty too when I was Caitlyn's age and I smile every time when I see Caitlyn's and my similarities.  This year Caitlyn chose a Hello Kitty theme for her party and that is what she got.  She has her way of wrapping you around her finger and asking so sweetly while looking at you with those beautiful green eyes, "Can I have..."

For example... She had heard that Mommo knows how to make pinata's and had requested that she make a Hello Kitty one for her birthday.  Below is a picture of the requested pinata.  Mom did a great job.  

Every Party needs party favors.  Every girl got some Hello Kitty ears to wear.  See the stand alone bow?  That one is mine.  :O) 

One of the games requested we play... "Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty where is your wallet."  (A version of "Doggy, Doggy where is your bone")

Happy Birthday to the prettiest 7 year old I know!!!  I love you!

Micah's SUPER 3rd Birthday

Oh no!!  Guess what I found out!  I forgot to post Micah's 3rd Birthday... that happened waaaaaayyyy back in January.  Oh Goodness, I guess better late than never.  

 We celebrated Micah's birthday day ALL day.  Our day started with Bouncing Bears... a really fun place.

Micah wanted to have a Super Hero party, and so that is what he got.  Everyone dressed up in Superhero gear and we all had a blast.

Bad day

Wow, If I knew yesterday morning what was going to happen yesterday... I would have stayed in bed.  Actually the day started off pretty well.  We went about our routine, breakfast and then off to the gym for my 9:15 class.  At the end of class I got called out cause Ky had a small fever.  I quickly grabbed my things, signed my kiddos out and verified who I am by showing my id.  We came home and everyone took a much needed nap.  I cleaned the house and at about 5:00pm loaded kids up in the car to get some necessities from the store.  Once in the car, I realized that I didn't have my wallet with me.  I ran back in to look in my gym bag... nope, not there either.  My wallet was missing and I couldn't find it anywhere.  I called Daniel, who was at the Astros game with Micah and he cancelled my debit card for me.  Luckily, even after a full day... there was no activity on the card.  Thank you Jesus.  I have no clue where it can be, I already checked with the club and they don't have it.  All in all, I understand it's just a wallet and the cards inside can be cancelled and reordered.  BUT, what has brought me to tears were these 3 photos that were in my wallet is now gone.  LUCKILY I had taken a picture of these photos for this game I was playing, so I still have some form of the picture to keep, but it's not the same.  The top picture is of Daniel and I in Dallas when he came to my flight attendant graduation, we had just started dating.  Then there is his drivers license picture... I just thought that he looked hot in it. :O)  Then there is the picture that is one of the oldest I have with Daniel, back in 96' we were at the olympics and this was our "gansta pic."  Here is to hoping that one day I'll get that wallet back.      

Easter 2012

Disney on Ice

On Saturday Caitlyn and I got to go see Disney on Ice with a friend of hers and her mom. We were so excited to go, I have never been before and so of course Caitlyn hasn't either. We had a wonderful time and loved every minute of it.

After Disney on Ice, we went to Chick fil a for lunch, the prize in the kids meal was a "create a book." I will forever keep this book, which is a book about Mommy. Look what my baby wrote on one of the pages!!!

iPhone Pictures

I was going through my iPhone yesterday and noticed that I had quite a few pictures on it that I haven't blogged about. So here they are.

A month to a couple of months ago we noticed these on Kys feet. Poor baby, we realized he had Hand Foot Mouth, something that usually babies under two get. Luckily he only got it on his feet, but they do look mean.

We LOVE playground days... and LOVE may be an understatement.
Caitlyn and I stumbled upon a website that has LOTS of cute hairstyles for little girls... here is one of our favorites.
This is just precious and captures one of Ky's quiet funny sides.
I really do enjoy having my boys match. They match in a cool way. BATMAN!!!
